With Microsoft Power BI, you can connect to the Planview Enterprise One – PRM, Planview Projectplace, and Planview Enterprise One – Capability and Technology Management content packs, which provide fixed datasets you can use to visualize and analyze data. You need the following sign-in information:

  • To use the cloud-based Power BI service, you need a Power BI account. See Microsoft's Power BI website for more information.
Note: You do not need a Power BI account if you are using Power BI Desktop to connect to a content pack but are not connecting to the Power BI service.
  • To use the Planview Enterprise One – PRM content pack, you need your Planview Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication token or your Planview Enterprise One – PRM user name and password.
  • To use the Projectplace content pack, you do not need any additional information; your SSO service should sign you in automatically.
  • To use the Planview Enterprise One – CTM content pack, you need your Planview Enterprise One – CTM user name and password or your Planview SSO authentication token.
Note: To customize data sources and create or modify datasets, you must use the Power BI Desktop application.
