MICYLOU WIKI

This WIKI is the perfect example of a mix between internal and public information. We indeed use this WIKI internally for our subscription based information, our own documentation with, of course, access restriction and some public information we provide to everybody.

This is achieved by using Mediawiki as core engine (Mediawiki is the engine running Wikipedia) and carefully selecting and configuring extensions and additional components to build our solutions.

With our security matrix in place, we can mix internal restricted, sunscriptoin restricted and public information at ease while also providing role-based access to the solution.

You'll come across pages constructing dynamically and instantly on screen a document based on a multitude of sources, or documents with pdf embedded into the page. Other pages will offer only part of their content because of access restriction, this to show you what you can expect from such a solution.

PHP based, running for us on Linux servers, this solution is fully open source and free. We have decided to use only freely available components. Compared to a share point, the required infrastructure is way lighter; as a test, we successfully ran it on a ARM based tablet... Try to do this with Sharepoint...
